Changing address
It’s really important that we have the right address to send any communications about your pension to, so please let the Pensions Office know if you move, or if your circumstances change in any way.
Claiming death benefits
If you die once you have started to receive your pension, UMSS will provide:
- A pension for your spouse/civil partner or financial dependant and/or any dependent children.
- A lump sum may also be payable.

Nomination form
Your Nomination form advises the Trustee who you would like to receive any applicable UMSS benefits if you die. We advise you to complete one every three years if you are still contributing to UMSS, and we ask all members to complete one as they retire.
