2.1 Access to the Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on the Website without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

4.2 You shall not copy, adapt, exploit or otherwise use the content on the Website in any way, save for your own reference or drawing the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on the Website.

4.3 For the avoidance of doubt you shall not be entitled to reproduce, permanently store, or retransmit the contents of the Website without our prior written consent.

4.6 You are only permitted to download forms from the Website, where you need to complete and return such forms to UMSS for the purposes of administering and operating your University of Manchester Superannuation Scheme (the Scheme).

We therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by any visitor to the Website, or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents.

6.1 This Website is intended to provide information about the benefits from the Scheme.

6.2 It is not intended to provide a detailed or complete description of all the specific benefits available in the Scheme. In particular, there are different categories of members within the Final Salary and CARE sections who have different rights to those set out within this Website. As a result, you should not rely on the content of this Website when making any decision about your pension. Neither the pensions office or UMSS can guarantee the accuracy of the information contained within this Website.

6.3 If you would like specific details of your own benefits, you should contact the pensions office directly at umss@manchester.ac.uk or on 0161 275 2043.

6.4 The Scheme's Trust Deed and Rules govern the pensions benefits that will be payable to you. As a result, where there is discrepancy between this Website and the Rules, the Rules will prevail. A copy of the Rules is available to download here.

6.5 The Scheme's Trust Deed and Rules can, in certain circumstances, change. The law that governs pension schemes can also change and, in turn, change the benefits payable from the Scheme. The content of this Website is therefore subject to those changes.

6.6 You should also note that neither the pensions office nor the Trustee are able to provide financial advice in relation to Scheme. Nothing in this Website is intended to amount to financial advice. You should seek your own independent financial advice before making any decision regarding your pension. Independent financial advisers in your area can be found at www.unbiased.co.uk.

7 OUR LIABILITY

7.1 The material displayed on the Website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy.

7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

7.2.1 all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity;

7.2.2 any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with the Website or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of the Website, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation, liability for:
